I began studying piano when I was 8 years old. I had three great teachers as a kid, but I didn't have a great instrument. As an adult I was lucky enough to acquire a grand piano and began studying with Holly Herrmann in Seattle. Holly is an incredible teacher, a gifted musician, and one of the finest people I know. Over fifteen years as her student, we studied repertoire from Bach to Brahms to Shostakovich.
The tech geek side of me loves recording — the gadgets, the challenge of getting a good sound — and a few of my efforts are on this website.
